Homogeneous PVC Waterproof Membrane for Roof Flashing & Detail Waterproofing
Product Overview
Homogeneous PVC waterproof membrane is a heat-weldable, flexible single-ply sheet manufactured from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin without internal reinforcement layers. The uniform composition throughout the sheet thickness provides consistent material properties and high flexibility for detailing around complex geometries.
The product addresses the need for flexible waterproofing on flashings, penetrations, corners, and detail areas where reinforced membranes are difficult to install. Its homogeneous structure allows for easy thermoforming around irregular shapes without loss of material integrity.
Typical installations include roof flashing and detail work, penetration seals, gutter and valley linings, and flexible connections in waterproofing systems.
Available in thicknesses from 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm, with roll widths of 1.0 m and roll lengths of 20 m. Custom sizes can be produced subject to production feasibility. Surface color is typically light gray. Our team reviews drawings solely to assess production feasibility and does not undertake engineering design or system selection.
Product Features
Uniform composition
The sheet has consistent material properties throughout its thickness, with no internal reinforcement layer. This ensures uniform performance during thermoforming and welding.
High flexibility
The unreinforced structure provides high flexibility, suited for handling complex waterproofing details such as corners, penetrations, and flashings.
Heat-weldable seams
Adjacent sheets are joined by hot-air welding to form integrated seams. Sealing performance depends on qualified on-site welding execution and proper detailing.
Weather and UV resistance
The PVC base material offers resistance to weathering and ultraviolet radiation. These are laboratory material-level properties; long-term outdoor performance relies on complete system design and professional installation. Light-colored surfaces also reflect solar radiation.
Surface and Color Options
Homogeneous PVC waterproof membrane is available in various surface finishes and colors. Available options include:
| Option Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Standard Light Gray | Smooth, light-colored surface; reduces heat absorption |
| White | White surface for specific aesthetic requirements |
| Smooth Finish | Standard smooth surface; facilitates hot-air welding |

FAQ
Q1. What is the difference between homogeneous and reinforced PVC membrane?
Homogeneous PVC has no internal reinforcement, offering higher flexibility for detailing and flashings. Reinforced PVC has embedded fabric/mesh for enhanced mechanical strength in mechanically fastened systems.
Q2. What thickness should I choose for my detailing work?
Thickness depends on project usage, substrate conditions, and local construction standards. Final specification shall be confirmed by the project engineering team.
Q3. How are homogeneous PVC membrane sheets joined?
By hot-air welding. Seam performance depends on qualified on-site welding execution and proper detailing.
Q4. What is the MOQ for homogeneous PVC membrane?
Quoted based on thickness and total order volume. Contact us with your specifications for a confirmed MOQ.
Q5. Can this membrane be used for exposed outdoor applications?
Formulated with weather and UV resistant properties. Long-term service performance depends on complete system design and professional installation.
